Friend,
This has been an exciting, historic week for our country. On Wednesday, Vice President Kamala Harris became the first Black, Asian American, woman to hold our nation’s second-highest office; President Joe Biden took swift action to undo some of the damage of the Trump presidency, including repealing the Muslim ban and rejoining the Paris Climate Agreement; and Brooklyn’s own Senator Chuck Schumer ascended to the ranks of Senate Majority Leader, giving New Yorkers a powerful voice in Washington.
Our work is far from over, but now that leadership has been restored to the White House, we can refocus our sights a little closer to home and on our upcoming election. And today, I’ve got some big news to share from the campaign trail -- I’m honored to be endorsed by 50+ Latino activists, educators, small business owners, public servants, CEOs, arts and media professionals, and community leaders from across NYC!
Our City’s diversity is our strength -- it’s what makes New York, New York. And I believe that New Yorkers of all backgrounds deserve a champion in City Hall who will fight for them. Especially now, as communities of color continue to be disproportionately harmed by the COVID-19 crisis, we need leaders in office who’ve lived the challenges we’re facing, and have the years of experience needed to overcome them.
With our “Latinos for Eric'' coalition and everyday New Yorkers like you, we’re building the most diverse movement in this race -- and we’re not showing any signs of stopping! Now that all eyes are on New York City, things are going to continue ramping up, and I’m counting on your continued support as we keep on growing this movement. Will you chip in $100, $50, or $25 today to fuel our fight?
Best, Eric
